Chief Engineer - Hotel Engineering & Maintenance - Europe

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the property.
• Oversee MEP systems to support safe and efficient building operations.
• Manage HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Supervise electrical and mechanical installations.
• Provide leadership to the engineering team.
• Drive energy and utility management initiatives.
• Support renovation and refurbishment projects.
• Ensure health, safety, and technical compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a valid Mechanical Engineering License.
• Seven to ten years of engineering or maintenance experience in hotels, resorts, facilities management, large commercial properties, or similar technical environments, including hotel or resort operations.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC, refrigeration, MEP, electrical installations, mechanical systems, and building maintenance systems.
• Strong background in preventive maintenance programs, energy management, and energy and utilities management.
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance requirements in building or hotel operations, including experience supporting renovation and refurbishment work.
• Experience working with Hotel General Managers and internal engineering teams.
• Business-fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in complex and large hotel environments.
• An additional relevant engineering or technical certification.
• Business-fluent Greek is advantageous but not essential.
