About the Role
Wincent is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to lead the compliance function for a top-10 global crypto HFT firm. The role involves managing the compliance team, ensuring regulatory obligations, designing compliance frameworks, and acting as a senior point of contact for regulators.

Responsibilities
- Design, operate, document, and evidence the group compliance framework
- Maintain current understanding of applicable laws and regulations across jurisdictions
- Act as senior point of contact for regulators
- Assume senior ownership of AML/CTF and anti financial crime oversight
- Manage the compliance team day to day
- Design and build tech forward compliance infrastructure
- Conduct compliance risk assessment and risk management
- Provide practical compliance advice to business units
- Coach and develop the compliance team
Requirements
- At least 7 years of compliance experience, with a minimum of 3 years managing a team
- Experience managing multi jurisdiction trading and AML/CTF frameworks
- Experience working in senior roles in regulated financial institutions
- Comfortable operating in a fast paced and evolving fintech or crypto environment
- Willing to be hands on while also leading a team

About the Role
- We need a Chief Compliance Officer who can run the compliance function day to day while maintaining our reputation as a good actor in the market.
- This role sits inside the Legal & Compliance team and owns the compliance function group wide.
What You’ll Own
- The design, operation, documentation, and evidencing of the group compliance framework.
- Maintaining a current, practical understanding of applicable laws, regulations, licence conditions, and regulatory expectations.
- Act as a senior point of contact for regulators.
- Assume senior ownership of AML/CTF and anti financial crime oversight.
- Day to day management of the compliance team.
- Design and build tech forward compliance infrastructure.
- Compliance risk assessment and risk management.
- Translation of compliance strategy into execution.
- Provide practical compliance advice to Legal, Business Development, Trading Operations, and senior leadership.
- Coach and develop the compliance team.

Your Profile

Nice to Have
- Experience in crypto or digital asset markets.
- Compliance certifications such as ACAMS, CRCM, or CCEP.
- Regulatory relationships in Gibraltar, the United States or other major jurisdictions.
- MLRO experience.
- Experience representing organizations in industry forums.
- Experience using automation, AI copilots, agents, or compliance technology.
