About the Role

- Ensure final inspections are properly performed on all work completed and return aircraft to service in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance of FAA and Government Ground Operating Procedures
- Determine requirements to conduct post maintenance check flights/functional check flights and provide inspection criteria interpretation to maintenance staff
- Assist in maintaining current technical library and applicable aircraft forms and records
- Conduct Weight & Balance (W&B) on all assigned aircraft to include completion of all appropriate W&B documentation
- Function as site data analyst and technical/compliance documentation administrator
- Maintain logbook, CAMP, and Corridor log entries, and other quality records
- Develop and implement procedures for preliminary inspections, hidden damage inspections, inspection continuity, and final inspections of all maintenance activities to ensure compliance with FAA
- Ensure all tools and test equipment are inspected and maintained in a serviceable and, where applicable, calibrated condition
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years aircraft maintenance experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Possession of a US Passport, or ability to quickly obtain US Passport
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
- FAA Airworthiness requirements knowledge
- FAA Operator and Military Maintenance experience
- Pass a general medical physical to include HIV test and TB Tine check

- Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking an aircraft mechanic to function as a Quality Control Inspector for our deployed OCONUS location.
Responsibilities
- Perform deployed quality control (inspector) duties on Bombardier BD 700 Global Express (USAF E 11A) aircraft.
- Ensure final inspections are properly performed on all work completed and return aircraft to service in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance of FAA and Government Ground Operating Procedures.
- Determine requirements to conduct post maintenance check flights/functional check flights & provide inspection criteria interpretation to maintenance staff.
- Assist in maintaining current technical library & applicable aircraft forms & records.

- Develop and implement procedures for preliminary inspections, hidden damage inspections, inspection continuity, and final inspections of all maintenance activities to ensure compliance with FAA.
- Responsible for accurate and timely execution of all required inspection records, reports and forms.
- Ensures all tools and test equipment are inspected and maintained in a serviceable and, where applicable, calibrated condition and there are no defective, nonconformed or not airworthy parts installed in any component or assembly released to service.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years aircraft maintenance experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Possession of a US Passport, or ability to quickly obtain US Passport
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
- FAA Airworthiness requirements knowledge
- FAA Operator and Military Maintenance experience
- Pass a general medical physical to include HIV test and TB Tine check
Preferred Qualifications
- Bombardier BD 700 Global Express aircraft experience
- FAA Inspection Authorization
- 3 years Quality Control Inspector experience
- Rolls Royce BR 710 engine experience
- 10 years transport category or corporate aircraft experience
- Special Mission aircraft experience
- DoD maintenance program experience
Salary Range
- Primary Level Salary Range: $1.00 $1.00
- The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
- Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
