Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities for Rich Chocolatier
- Lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management reports, and statutory filings
- Monitor the general ledger, supervise month end and year end closing processes, manage internal controls, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations
- Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support strategic decisions and business growth
- Develop accounting policies, guide audit activities, mentor accounting team members, and implement process improvements and financial systems enhancements
Requirements
- Strong accounting foundation, including Accounting and Finance skills, with experience leading an accounting function
- Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including consolidation, variance analysis, and management reporting
- Relevant professional certification such as Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or equivalent (e.g., ACCA, CA) strongly preferred
- Experience with internal controls, audits, and compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, and strong Excel skills
- Proven leadership skills, including team management, coaching, and cross functional collaboration
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

Role Description
- The Chief Accounting Officer is a full time, on site role based in Doha, Qatar, responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities for Rich Chocolatier.

Qualifications
