As we expand, we are seeking a highly skilled **Chief Accounting Officer (CAO)** to lead our accounting strategy and oversee all financial reporting functions.
Role Overview
The **CAO** will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Qatari regulations and international standards, and driving efficiency in financial processes.
This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to align accounting practices with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s accounting and financial reporting strategy.
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll operations.
- Ensure compliance with Qatari financial regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align accounting initiatives with organizational goals.
- Lead audits, internal controls, and risk management programs.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation for accounting operations.
- Mentor and develop accounting teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in accounting leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
- Strong knowledge of Qatari financial regulations and international accounting standards.
- Proven track record of managing complex accounting operations successfully.
- Expertise in financial reporting, audits, and compliance.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
