Job Description
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, and compliance for the hotel.
Assist the Financial Controller in implementing the hotel's financial strategy according to policies and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise daily accounting operations, controls, staff mentoring, teamwork, and efficient operation.
- Verify daily bank balances through credit card reconciliation for Director of Finance approval.
- Verify the General Cashier report and daily revenue deposits into the bank.
- Reconcile general ledger balances at month end before issuing monthly financial statements and report variances.
- Review monthly food and beverage, cost control, and related reports under company policy.
- Ensure tax payments and filings are completed on time and resolve variances.
- Prepare monthly management reports and assist with budgeting and financial analysis.
- Maintain accounting records, including contracts, and keep current with regulations and hotel policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Minimum five years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant hotel finance and non-finance systems.
