Role Overview

Accounting Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly and annual financial statement preparation under standards such as GAAP or IFRS.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger operations.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and monitor accounting policies and internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors during year-end reviews.

Procurement Responsibilities

• Identify and select reliable suppliers offering quality goods at competitive prices.
• Negotiate vendor terms, prices, and service level agreements to achieve value for money.
• Build long-term supplier partnerships and monitor supplier performance.
• Analyze market trends and spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Diversify the supplier base to reduce supply-chain disruption risks.

Accounting Skills

• Advanced financial analysis, team management, and proficiency in ERP or accounting software are required.
• Relevant systems may include SAP or QuickBooks.
• High attention to detail is important for the role.

Procurement Skills

• Procurement requires negotiation, networking, commercial acumen, data analytics, and procurement software expertise.
• Relevant procurement systems may include Coupa or SAP Ariba.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is typically expected.
• Professional certifications may include CPA, ACCA, or CMA.

Compensation

• Pay is QAR 6,000 to QAR 9,000 per month.
