Role overview
Minor Hotels is recruiting Commis Chefs and Cooks for culinary teams at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat in the Hunter Valley.
Multiple opportunities are available across both resort and wellness properties.
About the roles
- Deliver high-quality food in line with brand and menu standards.
- Support kitchen preparation, service, and presentation.
- Work collaboratively within a professional kitchen team.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and workplace cleanliness standards.
- Contribute to a positive, efficient, and guest-focused kitchen culture.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior team members for applicable Sous Chef and Chef de Partie positions.
- Support stock control and efficient kitchen operations.
About you
- Relevant trade qualifications are required, or candidates may be working toward them for Commis roles.
- Previous hotel, resort, or high-volume kitchen experience is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and passion for fresh, high-quality food are required.
- Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, is required.
- Candidates should be team players with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
