Chef Manager role
Provide catering services to one school in Wadhurst for Relish School Food, a fresh-food company serving the education market.
The successful candidate will cook, manage a small team of Kitchen Assistants and oversee school catering operations.
Role details
- The role is full time at 30 hours per week during term time only.
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 14:00, with no weekend work.
- The annual pay is £18,732, paid at £14.00 per hour for 44.6 weeks of work and spread across 52 weeks.
Key tasks
- Manage and oversee catering services within an agreed budget.
- Record stock and cash accurately and maintain financial targets.
- Ensure goods are received, stored appropriately and kept secure.
- Oversee bookkeeping and report weekly financial performance.
- Use the Reli-Till cashless system to record meals and reconcile sales.
- Ensure operations comply with school policies and legislation.
Candidate requirements
- Applicants must be qualified chefs and confident in their cooking abilities.
- Applicants should be able to work independently and manage a small kitchen team.
