Position Summary

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.

Prepare cold foods, special meals, and substitute items while monitoring food quality and quantity.

Regulate cooking equipment temperatures and maintain food logs.

Kitchen Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct portions, arrangement, garnish, and presentation of food.
  • Communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
  • Inform the Chef about excess food for daily specials and service staff about menu specials or unavailable items.
  • Assist with kitchen quality control and follow food preparation standards.

Team & Guest Support

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
  • Anticipate and address guest service needs and communicate professionally with others.
  • Develop positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.

Safety & Physical Requirements

  • Follow company safety and security policies and procedures and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
  • Complete safety training and certifications and maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform bending, twisting, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience or license or certification is required.
