This position is based at Accor's flagship Canberra hotel, Novotel Canberra , a 286-room property in the heart of the city, directly opposite the light rail.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, food safety and kitchen operations.

You will take ownership of your designated section and play a key role in mentoring junior team members and ensuring smooth service operations.

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and brand standards
• Proven experience working on grill and hot pan sections in a high-volume kitchen environment
• Managing your designated kitchen section to ensure efficient service and food consistency
• Supervising kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs as required
• Maintaining stock rotation practices and minimising food wastage
• Assisting with ordering, stock control and ensuring adequate mise en place for service
• Coaching and supporting mor junior kitchen team members
