Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Doha.
The Chartered Accountant will perform financial audits, review financial statements, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
Daily responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial reports, verifying documentation, and identifying risks and control gaps.
The role involves supporting tax planning and compliance, assisting with business advisory engagements, and providing actionable recommendations to clients.
The Chartered Accountant will collaborate closely with audit and consulting teams, communicate findings to clients, and contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent, with strong knowledge of IFRS and relevant local regulations.
- Proficiency in auditing and assurance, including planning and executing audits, testing controls, and preparing audit documentation and reports.
- Solid experience in financial accounting, financial analysis, and preparation and review of financial statements.
- Competence in tax compliance and basic tax advisory, including understanding of corporate tax, VAT, and related regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication and client-facing skills, including the ability to present findings clearly and professionally in writing and in person.
- Proficiency with accounting and audit software, spreadsheets, and other productivity tools; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional experience in an audit or consulting firm is preferred.
