The Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Channel Development Manager to lead channel expansion strategies, partner recruitment, and channel performance initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement channel development strategies, partner growth plans, territory expansion initiatives, and go to market programs aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Identify, recruit, onboard, and develop value added resellers (VARs), distributors, system integrators, strategic partners, and other indirect sales channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners to maximize revenue opportunities, market coverage, and long term business success.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership to execute channel initiatives and support partner success.
  • Develop joint business plans, sales enablement programs, co marketing campaigns, partner incentives, training initiatives, and performance improvement strategies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including channel revenue, partner pipeline, partner productivity, market penetration, customer acquisition, partner retention, sales growth, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Conduct channel performance reviews, business planning sessions, territory assessments, and market analysis to identify growth opportunities and optimize channel effectiveness.
  • Negotiate channel agreements, commercial terms, pricing structures, rebates, incentive programs, and contractual arrangements while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Support channel partners through product training, sales coaching, technical enablement, marketing resources, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Partner Relationship Management (PRM) platforms, sales automation tools, artificial intelligence (AI) powered analytics, and data driven channel management.
  • Utilize CRM platforms, PRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, sales analytics tools, project management software, and business intelligence platforms to monitor channel performance and generate actionable insights.
  • Prepare channel performance reports, revenue forecasts, executive dashboards, business reviews, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA preferred) or professional certifications in Sales Management, Channel Management, Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Project Management (PMP), or related disciplines are advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in channel development, channel sales, partner management, business development, account management, or related roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing channel partners, reseller networks, distributor programs, or indirect sales initiatives preferred.
  • Strong understanding of channel sales models, partner ecosystems, indirect sales strategies, territory management, go to market planning, contract negotiation, and partner enablement.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot, or similar systems, along with Partner Relationship Management (PRM) platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and sales analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, SaaS sales, distribution networks, digital marketplaces, AI powered sales analytics, channel marketing, and partner incentive programs is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship management, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple channel development initiatives while balancing partner success, revenue growth, compliance requirements, budgets, and organizational objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in remote and hybrid environments, with flexibility to travel for partner meetings, customer visits, industry events, and business development activities as required.
