Certified Veterinary Technician

Family Pet Clinic of Newberg is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a fast-paced general practice environment balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work hands-on with a diverse range of patients, including dogs, cats, pocket pets, reptiles, and other exotic species.

We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.

You’ll play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout each patient visit.

include: Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, assisting, and recovery Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment. Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $ 28 - $31 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with a rotating Saturday. Saturday shifts are generally scheduled every other Saturday, with the possibility of working two consecutive Saturdays based on scheduling needs.
