Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Companion Animal Hospital in Hillsboro is growing!

And we are currently looking for an individual to join our team in a fun, fast paced, small animal practice. (with the occasional rabbit/ small pocket pet/ or exotic pet).

We are a full service, 3 DVM, AAHA accredited hospital with many of the latest technologies to provide excellent medical and surgical service to our patients.

These include digital radiology, dentistry unit and dental x-ray, ultrasound, surgical and therapeutic laser.

Applicants must be extremely detail oriented, be able to work well within a team in addition to having the ability to work independently.

For the position, we are looking for an outgoing team member who is able to take initiative and has an ability to connect and bond with our clients and patients.

They should be organized and able to multi-task, document medical records, be able to fill medications, have client interactions, be able to help keep the clinic clean and well stocked, and other pet care needs as assigned.

We expect a positive, professional attitude and ability to work well with other team members.

For this specific position, previous experience in the veterinary field with a credintialed certified veterinary technician is required.

The Veterinary Technician's primary role is to assist the Veterinarian with cases throughout the day, as well as be a mentor, and resourse to other non-credintaled technicians and assistants by training and educating them on all things veterinary. (includes anesthesia monitoring, dentristy, and surgical prep).

Position is either, part time (up to 29 hrs) or full time (30-40 hrs/ wk), may include some weekends.
