We have an exciting Full-time opportunity for a well-qualified Certified Counselor in the Latino Family Service Center.

This program provides counseling services to the Latino Community in Oakland Area, Alameda and Contra Costa County.

We are currently seeking qualified certified candidates for the Counselor position.

We are searching for a candidate who can work the following shift:

Saturday to Wednesday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

This position is covered under the SEIU 1021 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In addition to the established base pay, members will receive negotiated annual increases as follows:

• January 2027: 3% base pay increase

Future increases will be subject to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.

• Conduct initial intake and assessments;
• Formulate treatment recovery plans for program participants;
• Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions;
• Provide assessment and appropriate referrals to clients for educational, training, and other supportive services as needed;
• Maintain all client files;
• Represent clients and intervene on their behalf with probation officers, law officials, etc.;
