Responsibilities
- Review inpatient medical records to assign accurate and compliant diagnosis and procedure codes using established coding guidelines and classification systems
- Validate documentation, ensure proper use of medical terminology, and collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve coding related queries and discrepancies
- Contribute to timely claims submission, support revenue cycle optimization, and assist in maintaining coding quality through regular audits and updates
- Stay current with coding regulations, payer requirements, and industry standards
Requirements
- Strong Medical Coding experience, including inpatient (IP) coding and familiarity with relevant coding systems
- Solid knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management principles
- Recognized credentials such as RHIT or equivalent certifications in Health Information Management or Medical Coding
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work with clinical and billing teams
- Relevant academic background in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field is preferred
- Experience with hospital information systems, coding software, and insurance billing processes is beneficial
- Ability to adhere to regulatory standards, payer guidelines, and confidentiality requirements

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site Certified IP Medical Coder role based in the United Arab Emirates.
