- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and applying waterproofing material or lath
- Cut and shape tiles to fit around obstacles and in tight spaces
- Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue, or mortar
- Align and straighten tiles to ensure patterns are even and precise
- Install and anchor fixtures in designated positions
- Mix, apply, and spread adhesive to apply, seal, and finish tile
- Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles
Requirements
- Experience in tile and marble setting
- Ability to measure, cut, and shape tiles
- Knowledge of surface preparation and adhesive application
- Senior level experience (4 10 years implied)
