Role Overview
Technical Transaction Analyst in J.P. Morgan’s Central Research Group Technical Transaction Team.
The role supports oil and gas investment banking through technical evaluation, data analysis, modeling, valuation, and transaction advisory work.
The team supports upstream and midstream asset and corporate advisory activities, including IPOs and debt offerings.
Responsibilities
- Develop market, company, and product knowledge across industries.
- Evaluate oil and gas assets through technical data analysis and technical transaction analysis.
- Create decline curves and support asset and corporate company models.
- Collect and amalgamate technical data using utilities such as Enverus and IHS.
- Prepare pitch materials, offering presentations, reports, and models.
- Provide technical insight to banking teams and support client objectives.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Petroleum Engineering.
- Strong understanding of the oil and gas value chain across conventional and unconventional assets.
- Proficiency in technical asset evaluation, technical data analysis, data collection, and technical modeling.
