The Opportunity

The Central Operations Manager is a senior operational leadership role based at the London head office.
The role leads central operational support functions and develops systems, processes and infrastructure for a multi-site business.
Team Leadership
- Directly line manage a central operational support team covering fleet, facilities, HR and health and safety administration.
- Provide leadership, direction and development while coordinating with internal specialists and external providers.
Operating Model
- Develop scalable operational systems, processes, national standards and operational frameworks.
- Improve consistency across multiple sites and turn growth plans into practical operational solutions.
Contract Mobilisation
- Lead mobilisation of new customer contracts and services from contract award through business-as-usual operations.
- Coordinate readiness across people, premises, systems, suppliers, training and operational processes.
- Support new site implementations and significant operational projects.
Operational Improvement
- Identify recurring challenges and develop solutions that improve efficiency and consistency across sites.
- Work with operational teams to ensure central processes operate effectively in practice.
- Collaborate with operations leaders, site managers, pharmacy and regulatory teams, customers and external providers.
Experience and Capabilities
- Significant operational management experience and a structured, solutions-focused approach.
- Experience leading and developing teams, working in multi-site environments and managing multiple priorities.
- Experience with mobilisation, implementation, business change, systems, processes or operational frameworks.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
Advantageous Background
- Experience in pharmaceutical services, pharmaceutical distribution, medical supply, pharmacy, healthcare logistics, healthcare or another regulated multi-site environment is advantageous.
- Experience with NHS customers, GPhC, MHRA, GDP or similar regulatory environments is beneficial but not essential.
- Two years of team management experience is preferred.
Pay
- Pay is £50,000 to £70,000 per year.
Work Location
- The role is based at the London head office and the work location is in person.
