A growing family-owned commodities trading group is seeking a Cement Trader to strengthen its Dry Freight Product team in Dubai.
The role focuses on expanding cement-related trading operations across LATAM and/or Africa.
Key responsibilities
- Promote and expand trading operations focused on cement-related products, including clinker, cement, gypsum, slag, and fly ash.
- Establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with cement suppliers and customers across LATAM and/or Africa.
- Continuously analyse cement market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and pricing strategies.
- Lead cement procurement and sales negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Navigate regional regulations, cultural nuances, and trading complexities.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with trading activities in LATAM and/or Africa.
Key qualifications
- At least 5–7 years of experience trading cement, clinker, fly ash, gypsum, or other cementitious products.
- Proven track record of successful negotiations and relationship-building in the cement industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of market dynamics, regulatory environments, and trade practices in Latin America and/or Africa.
- A valuable and transferable book of business demonstrating successful client relationships and revenue generation.
- The role is based in Dubai.
