Role Overview
DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for a CDZ Operations Specialist in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The role supports customs clearance, trade compliance, and international air, ocean, and road freight operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute customs and trade compliance plans to optimize service and cost performance.
- Plan and direct air and surface traffic flows to support timely customs clearance.
- Monitor shipments, validity dates, duties, tariffs, and government institution debits.
- Prepare customs entries, categorize goods, and complete customs security filings.
- Complete post-clearance changes, shipment documentation, archiving, and status records.
- Calculate duties, tariffs, price conversions, weights, and merchandise volumes.
- Support pricing, margin guidance, bids, RFQs, and customer presentations.
- Resolve customer issues, escalations, and disputes.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, legal, and import/export control requirements.
- Control import licenses and export processes, and coordinate with customs authorities.
- Develop workflow models and quality practices between customs operations teams.
- Research and obtain permits, licenses, and certificates for customs clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or qualification.
- More than four years of experience.
