The Lead Data Engineer provides technical leadership in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and architecture.
The role leads data engineering projects, mentors team members, and collaborates across functions to deliver data solutions for analytics, automation, and product innovation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-native data platforms.
- Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable data solutions.
- Establish standards for data quality, validation, monitoring, and pipeline resilience.
- Mentor data engineers, conduct code reviews, and share best practices across teams.
- Improve data architecture, tooling, and automation for analytics and product features.
- Partner with product, analytics, and engineering teams on business priorities.
