CCTV Operator - Surveillance Officer

Job summary

Key responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV feeds across all camera zones for suspicious activity and safety hazards.
• Review recorded footage to investigate incidents, thefts, accidents, and protocol breaches.
• Identify unusual behavior, unauthorized access, and security threats in real time.
• Log incidents with accurate times, locations, and event descriptions.
• Coordinate with security personnel, management, and law enforcement when required.
• Preserve and export footage as evidence and prepare surveillance reports.
• Report equipment faults and assist with security protocol and camera coverage audits.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior CCTV monitoring or security operations experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, DVR/NVR equipment, and video management software is required.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and emergency decision-making ability are required.
• Familiarity with local surveillance, privacy, and data protection laws is required.

Preferred skills

• Experience with Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, or Hikvision video management systems is preferred.
• Basic understanding of access control systems and alarm monitoring is preferred.
• Experience in retail loss prevention, corporate security, or law enforcement is preferred.

Work conditions

• The role is performed in person and may require occasional response to on-site incidents.
• Shift work may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The position involves extended periods of sitting and viewing multiple monitor screens.

Pay

• Pay is AED 3,000 to AED 4,000 per month.
