Primary Purpose
Establish and administer long-term strategic purchasing of goods and related services from conceptualization through closeout.
Conduct spend analysis and control agreement lifecycles to optimize cost and timely availability.
Ensure purchasing activities comply with ethical standards, QatarEnergy regulations, policies, procedures, QHSE, and sustainability requirements.
Role Responsibilities
- Implement category risk profiles and analyze market trends for cost-effective material acquisitions.
- Collaborate with QatarEnergy affiliates and joint ventures to optimize the supply-chain environment.
- Administer long-term supply agreements as the sponsoring department from planning through closeout.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 10 years of experience in strategic procurement and long-term agreements.
- Experience in an oil and gas environment is preferred.
- High fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of international standards and manufacturers for oilfield equipment and materials.
- Knowledge of establishing and administering long-term supply agreements.
- Understanding of contractual concepts, agreement strategies, project management techniques, and financial implications.
