Role Overview
The Category Manager will manage the non-fresh category for Amazon’s Amazon Now Q-commerce service.
The role focuses on selection, pricing, promotions, activities, growth, basket penetration, and margin objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Category Leader with strategic initiatives and business opportunities.
- Identify the optimum selection mix for Grocery and Non-Grocery portfolios with Retail and Category Leaders.
- Identify automation opportunities that improve selection, profitability, pricing, and availability.
- Own post-launch P&L performance against top-line and bottom-line targets.
- Drive profitability projects with vendors, Operations, Advertising, and other stakeholders.
- Define assortment and refine the category mix to improve space utilization.
- Source deals during Tier 1 and Tier 2 events with the Retail team.
- Improve content quality and conversion with retail category teams.
- Negotiate vendor marketing funds for category visibility during business-as-usual activity and events.
- Include common-vendor requirements in annual retail joint business plans.
- Partner with Ads to secure a fair share of Brand Ads investment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
