Role overview
Arla Foods is seeking a Category Development Manager to shape category growth strategy in the local dairy market.
The role localizes regional strategies, directs the marketing mix, supports innovation, and improves value for consumers and shoppers.
Responsibilities
- Define and localize medium- to long-term growth drivers for local customers, consumers, and shoppers.
- Develop and own market-level jobs-to-be-done frameworks.
- Provide category analysis and identify new market opportunities.
- Customize 4P toolkits, trade decks, and new product development sell-ins.
- Analyze shopper behavior, consumer understanding, market trends, and competitor activity.
- Work with the NRM team on pricing and promotions.
- Implement the Perfect Store methodology and monitor category initiative performance.
- Present category performance reports and insights to internal stakeholders.
Specific tasks
- Use the 4P framework to turn category strategy into actionable, shopper-centric plans.
- Localize regional new product development toolkits for local market and channel dynamics.
- Lead bottom-up business cases for market-relevant opportunities.
- Create targeted promotional menus by category and channel.
