Position Overview
Signature Aluminum Canada is seeking a safety-focused Casting Operator Level 3 for its Casthouse team in Pickering.
The company manufactures aluminum products through casting, extrusion, and related manufacturing operations.
Compensation
- The rate of pay is $27.00 per hour.
- Additional compensation may include overtime on every pay, a biweekly shift premium, and available overtime.
Schedule and Employment
- The position is permanent and full time.
- The schedule follows a 12-hour continental shift rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with furnace and mold preparation, metal handling, casting, melting, alloying, and pouring under supervision.
- Perform temperature checks and sample preparation for basic quality activities.
- Follow safety procedures for molten materials and heavy equipment.
- Maintain clean work areas and use hand tools, carts, and required PPE.
- Participate in training rotations, safety meetings, shift meetings, and team communication.
