Cashier, Sundry Shop

OBJECTIVE To continuously maintain proper inventories of all displayed items and assist with all owner, player and staff transactions.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Retail store located inside a casino environment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.

Always be NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting 2.

Counts and verifies bank for cash register to open operation 3.

Provides excellent guest service by answering questions concerning pricing of items, casino promotions, and tribal information 4.

Collects payment from guests in the form of cash, credit card, check, points, and comps 5.

Maintains proper level of inventory by stocking and restocking shelves and fixtures 6.

Maintains cleanliness of the store by dusting and wiping down fixtures ad shelves 7.

Balances cash register at the end of work shift by counting cash, credit cards, checks, points and comps 8.

Collects and returns bank to the vault 9.

Maintains knowledge of casino promotions and tribal information by reading the pre-shift communication, BIS, and Backstage Newsletter

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Basic math and cash handling skills Minimum 18 years of age
