Purpose Of Your Work
As an Afterhours and Weekend Carrier Sales Representative, working within Redwood Multimodal (one of our entities), you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and developing strong business relationships with service providers to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
How You Make A Difference Everyday
- Track load life cycle from shipment to delivery with an emphasis on inbound & outbound phone calls, but also utilize electronic means of tracking
- Communicate relevant freight updates to customers and/or internal carrier & operations teams
- Provide and negotiate freight rates to motor carriers (and internal sales team as needed), ensuring maximum profitability on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basis
- Coordinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipment
- Consistently provide service and support to motor carriers to build the business relationship
- Maintain a file of all open truck shipments and of records of trailers in assigned areas
- Communicate with motor carriers to schedule trucks and resolve issues
- Verify all freight charges, confirm receipt of Bill of Lading, and resolve all payables discrepancies prior to final payment to motor carrier
- Monitor Bill of Lading discrepancies to ensure proper return of commodity is arranged, as necessary
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Work Schedule
This is a part-time, onsite/hybrid position.
Employees will work 45 hour shifts scheduled within the 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. operating hours, Monday through Friday.
Weekend shifts are mandatory, and employees will be required to work scheduled Saturday and Sunday shifts based on coverage needs.
Some scheduling flexibility may be available.
Salary Range
$20.00/Hourly
The estimated pay range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographical location in which the applicant lives and/or which they will be performing the job.
