The Captain provides professional, customer-focused food and beverage service and supervises outlet operations.
The role is positioned for a dynamic and self-motivated hospitality professional seeking career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform food and beverage service tasks according to the hotel's performance standards.
- Know the assigned outlet's menu in depth and advise guests about food and beverage choices.
- Handle customer complaints and queries satisfactorily.
- Set up the outlet and supervise smooth service operations.
- Direct the service team, support colleague training, and maintain service standards.
- Control supplies and beverage-stock records while minimizing wastage, breakage, and spoilage.
- Use upselling techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue.
Education and Experience
- A hospitality diploma or degree is desirable.
- Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role is indicated in the qualifications section.
- Previous minor leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Good written and spoken English is required.
- Familiarity with Micros is desirable.
Knowledge and Competencies
- The candidate should be customer-focused, proactive, outgoing, charismatic, and approachable.
- The role requires working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and contributing as a team player.
