Role Overview

The Cybersecurity Analyst joins American Express Enterprise Technology Services through a full-time graduate program.

The role contributes to protecting information systems, customer data, colleague experiences, and digital assets.

Cybersecurity work may include operations, architecture, IAM, endpoint protection, application security, security monitoring, cloud security, documentation, and AI-enabled workflows.

Role Activities

  • Help identify, reduce, monitor, and respond to technology and information security risks.
  • Support security architecture, identity and access management, endpoint protection, application security, cloud security, and monitoring activities.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, product, software development, operations, and business teams.
  • Support alert investigation, threat analysis, finding documentation, remediation, and AI-enabled cybersecurity workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or another technical field before the full-time start date.
  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity, information security, application security, network security, cloud security, or technology risk.
  • Foundational knowledge of network protocols, security fundamentals, IAM, data privacy, data protection, or secure software development.
  • Interest in scripting or automation with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, discretion, attention to detail, and learning agility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Relevant coursework, projects, internships, labs, competitions, research, or extracurricular experience.
  • Awareness of security standards, compliance, privacy, governance, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, endpoint protection, network security, or IAM.
  • Interest in application security, secure coding, DevSecOps, cloud security, data security, network security, or AI security.
  • Certifications or continued learning in cybersecurity are welcomed but not required.
