JOB DESCRIPTION.
Second Baptist School University-Model® (SBSUM) is currently seeking (in an ongoing manner) PART-TIME CAMPUS FLOATERS for the 2026-2027 school year. This role serves in a variety of capacities including teacher support, substitute teaching, and administrative support.
Reports To: Dean of Campus
Work Calendar: Ten Months
Compensation: Part-Time, Hourly
JOB SUMMARY.
A floater at SBSUM is expected to support teachers using classical teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals and affect student learning, to integrate Biblical principles and a Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum in the classroom, and to model a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ.
ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:
- Passion for learning and commitment to classical instruction.
- Assist with lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate classical learning.
- Flexibility to quickly and smoothly transition from one duty to another.
- Ability to work well with children of all ages.
- Follow established guidelines for interacting with students, parents, faculty and staff.
- Integrate biblical principles and the classical Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities as guided by the classroom teacher.
