Role Overview
Oversee the complete day-to-day operations of a café in Dubai.
Lead a hands-on operation focused on efficiency, sales growth, cost control, product quality, and profitability.
The position is full-time in the café, food and beverage, and hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage café operations, staffing, service quality, cleanliness, and operational standards.
- Lead, train, supervise, and schedule the café team.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, suppliers, stock counts, and ordering.
- Control waste through expiry monitoring, FIFO rotation, portion control, and ingredient utilization.
- Track costs, calculate recipe costs, set prices and margins, and monitor profitability.
- Develop and standardize beverage recipes and menu improvements.
- Monitor sales and implement promotions, bundles, and upselling initiatives.
- Maintain customer service, hygiene, food safety, and café presentation standards.
- Prepare reports covering sales, costs, inventory, waste, staffing, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local food-safety and operational requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in café, restaurant, food and beverage, or hospitality management.
- Strong knowledge of café operations, inventory, purchasing, and cost control.
- Experience with recipe costing, food and beverage cost percentages, margins, and profitability analysis.
- Ability to develop beverage recipes and improve menus.
- Strong leadership, team management, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Understanding of waste management, stock rotation, expiry control, and FIFO procedures.
- Ability to analyze sales and operational performance and make commercially sound decisions.
- Comfort working in a hands-on operational environment.
- Professional working proficiency in Arabic and English is required.
