Role Overview
Desi & Co. operates a takeaway cafeteria counter in Al Quoz serving chai, snacks, and quick meals.
The role is a customer-facing Counter Sales & Cashier position with responsibility for counter operations and sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Handle cash, card, and POS sales accurately.
- Take orders and coordinate with the kitchen.
- Serve takeaway orders quickly and correctly.
- Track fast-moving items and alert the kitchen before stock runs out.
- Maintain daily sales and stock records.
- Keep the counter clean and organized.
- Build relationships with regular customers.
- Recommend products, combos, and daily specials.
- Encourage repeat business and increase daily sales.
- Collect feedback, report issues, and assist with messages and promotions.
Requirements
- Be friendly, energetic, confident with customers, honest, reliable, and punctual.
- Good spoken English is required.
- Hindi or Urdu is strongly preferred.
- Be fast and accurate with cash and orders.
- Have basic POS and mobile-phone skills.
- Relevant cafeteria, restaurant, grocery, retail, or counter-sales experience is preferred.
- UAE experience is an advantage.
- Be willing to take responsibility and help grow sales.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary is AED 1,400–1,600 per month.
- Accommodation and two basic duty meals are provided.
Schedule
- The role provides one weekly day off.
Workplace
- Work location is in person in Al Quoz, Dubai.
