Role Overview
Wipro is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer with a research and development background.
The role supports the design, testing, and refinement of mechanical components and systems.
The position requires analytical ability, creative problem solving, and research-driven mechanical design.
Location

Design and Development
- Develop and design mechanical components, systems, and technical specifications.
- Use the Stage Gate process to move product development projects through critical phases while meeting timelines and quality standards.
CAD and Product Development Skills
- Use SolidWorks for part modeling, assembly, and drafting.
- Use SolidWorks PDM Works systems for traceability and version control.
- Generate bills of materials and work with engineering change orders.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing in design and drafting.
Design Analysis
- Use FEA software and other engineering analysis platforms to evaluate structural, thermal, and fatigue aspects of designs.
- Apply knowledge of AWS, ISO, or other welding standards to design and drafting processes.
Communication and Experience
- Communicate design concepts, technical specifications, and project updates clearly to engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
