Role Overview

The C# Developer will support automated test equipment development for Air Force aerospace and defense systems.

The role combines hands-on hardware and software work to create libraries that control and automate test and measurement devices.

The position supports aircraft sustainment programs through software development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop C# libraries for digital multimeters, data acquisition systems, matrix switches, and other test instruments.
  • Convert C libraries to C# and implement measurement methods for avionics systems.
  • Read manufacturer programming manuals to implement instrument library functions.
  • Verify C# library functionality in a laboratory environment.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • At least three years of professional C# programming experience is required.
  • At least three years of .NET Framework or .NET Core experience, including modern .NET versions, is required.
  • Strong C# fundamentals, JSON experience, problem-solving, debugging, attention to detail, and commitment to code quality are required.
  • The candidate must be willing and able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, and U.S. citizenship is required.
  • The candidate must be willing to work onsite in San Antonio, Texas.

Desired Qualifications

  • Air Force, military, or defense contracting experience is desired.
  • Basic electronics knowledge, technical documentation skills, and background in electronics testing or test engineering are desired.
  • Familiarity with test and measurement instruments, National Instruments hardware or software, Git, or C is desired.

Workplace and Travel

  • The position is onsite in San Antonio, Texas.
  • Travel of up to 10 percent may be required within the continental United States.

Compensation

  • The proposed salary range is $65,700 to $134,400.
  • Final salary may depend on location, contract labor categories and wage rates, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
