General Summary:
Job Summary
The Buyer Associate is responsible for supporting procurement and sourcing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective purchase of goods and services. This role involves supplier coordination, purchase order management, price analysis, stakeholder communication, and compliance with procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in procurement systems.
- Review purchase requisitions and ensure accuracy before order placement.
- Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, order confirmations, and delivery schedules.
- Track orders and follow up on open deliveries to ensure on-time fulfillment.
- Resolve supplier and invoice-related issues in collaboration with Accounts Payable and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain procurement data, supplier records, and purchasing documentation.
- Support sourcing activities including RFQ/RFP processes and supplier evaluations.
- Analyze pricing, spending trends, and purchasing data to identify savings opportunities.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and suppliers to meet business needs.
