Responsibilities
- Manage finance, procurement, and administrative processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across systems
- Coordinate staff development and travel arrangements, including conferences and overseas visits
- Provide guidance on policies and procedures, supporting staff with finance, HR, and operational queries
- Monitor and analyse financial information, supporting planning, forecasting, and resource allocation
- Support recruitment and onboarding of casual staff, including preparing documentation and job adverts
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to key committees, including health & safety and Athena Swan, ensuring actions are tracked and delivered
Requirements
- Administrative experience from a busy office environment
- Understanding of finance and/or HR processes
- Organised, able to manage competing priorities, and maintain accuracy
- Confident working with data and Microsoft Office
- Clear communicator, able to respond to queries and work effectively with colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Able to manage deadlines and changing priorities
- Confident providing clear, accurate advice
- Experience supporting meetings, including minute taking (desirable)

Role Overview
- To support our Schools, we’re looking for a Business Support Officer to deliver high quality administrative and operational support across finance, procurement, and staff processes. This is a varied and fast paced role where your work will help ensure the smooth and efficient running of key business
You’ll Support By
- Managing finance, procurement, and administrative processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across systems.
- Coordinating staff development and travel arrangements, including conferences and overseas visits, ensuring all processes are followed and documented.
- Providing guidance on policies and procedures, supporting staff with finance, HR, and operational queries.
- Monitoring and analysing financial information, supporting planning, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding of casual staff, including preparing documentation and job adverts.
