Role Overview

The Business Intelligence Engineer will join the core Analytics team in Hyderabad within AWS Applied AI Solutions.

The role supports optimization of the shopping experience for Amazon customers in physical retail.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and visualize transaction data to determine customer behaviors and produce reports with recommendations.
  • Design and drive experiments, present recommendations to business leaders, drive decisions, and manage implementation.
  • Develop metrics that support product category growth and expansion plans.
  • Gather, manipulate, synthesize, and model data to investigate business performance and future improvements.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to deliver actionable insights.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Tableau, QuickSight, or similar data visualization tools.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience using SQL and Python for data retrieval and modeling workflows.
  • Experience with statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, or Matlab.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a quantitative field such as BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, or mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience with data mining, ETL, and databases in large-scale, complex business environments.
