Designs, develops, and optimizes data extraction processes to support CAH and Clinic reporting, including generating data for third-party extract files and data visualizations • Uses various software applications such as Microsoft SSMS, Microsoft SSIS, spreadsheets, data visualization software, and other Business Intelligence applications to assemble, manipulate and/or format data • Creates and maintains logical data models as needed for reporting solutions using best practices within the business intelligence environments • Creates and maintains process or procedure documentation • Creates and maintains documentation explaining developed data models, column business logic, field mapping., etc., in accordance with team data governance standards • Collaborates with CAH and Clinic Quality, Financial, and Business leaders on report requirements, design, validation and optimization to meet quality, safety, financial, and efficiency needs • Collaborates with team analysts to test and validate CAH and clinic reports after installation and implementation of system patches, service utilities, and version upgrades as assigned • Troubleshoots and resolves issues in production jobs and other related solutions, escalation as necessary • Participates in the after hours team on-call rotation and performs service recovery efforts as required • Manages multiple tasks simultaneously and reacts to problems quickly • Performs other related duties as assigned • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function • Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or equivalent education/experience required • 5 years’ of professional experience, with 3 years’ experience in health care required • 3 years’ experience writing SQL reports required • Experience with relational databases required (ex: SQLServer, PostgreSQL, Oracle) • Experience with Meditech Expanse Data Repository strongly preferred • Experience with ETL tools preferred (SSIS, Data Factory, etc.) • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to independently manage customer expectations
