We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing Operation Performance Analytics (OPA) team, where collaboration, creativity and high impact projects are at the heart of our mandate.
OPA is a national analytics team dedicated to delivering insights and analysis that support Intact Insurance in enhancing operational excellence, driving productivity, fostering growth and elevating service quality across underwriting teams.
What you’ll do here:
• Collaborate in defining business requirements and develop relevant KPIs aligned with objectives.
• Apply best practices in data preparation to ensure data quality and usability. Deliver high-quality and robust code.
• Select appropriate ways to build the metrics based on the context. Formulate clear and testable hypotheses prior to execution.
• Develop and execute data validation processes for developed KPIs, to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of metrics.
• Provide technical support to the team throughout the development cycle of metrics and for related analyses.
• Actively participate in knowledge sharing and apply learnings to improve outcomes. Advise and contribute to the optimization of team processes.
• Ensure transparent and effective information sharing within the team and with stakeholders.
What you bring to the table:
• Bachelor’s degree in data-related field (i.e., Business intelligence, Mathematics, Science, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.), or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of programming languages (Python, SAS an asset) and understanding of underlying data pipelines and workflows.
• Excellent time management and organization skills, managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for deliverables.
• Bilingualism (French / English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
