About the Role
Johnston Equipment is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to develop, maintain, and enhance BI solutions supporting decision-making. You will work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into reports and dashboards, analyze data trends, and support BI platforms.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business decision making
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into reporting and analytics solutions
- Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Support and maintain BI platforms, databases, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL based systems)
- Design and develop data models and queries to support reporting and analytics needs
- Monitor and ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency across systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reports, dashboards, and data pipelines
- Support integrations and data flow between systems, including ERP platforms and third party applications
- Provide user support and training on reports and dashboards to ensure effective use of data
- Document data structures, reporting processes and BI solutions
Requirements
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence role
- Experience with BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and system integrations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related data tools
- Understanding of ERP systems and data structures

Position Summary
- The Business Intelligence Analyst supports the organization’s data and reporting needs by developing, maintaining, and enhancing business intelligence solutions.
- This role works closely with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytics and reporting outputs that support decision making.
Specific Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business decision making.

Education & Work Experience
