Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and communicate business development strategy and targets for region and/or market.
  • Analyze and understand customer strategies, future product plans, and expansion activities to develop penetration strategies for new business opportunities.
  • Cultivate customer relationships, deliver effective proposals, and negotiate contracts to capture profitable new business.
  • Effectively brief and leverage executives on strategy and tactics to enhance customer relationships and consummate deals.
  • Establish, communicate, and hold direct and matrix team accountable for proposal objectives and deliverables to maximize operating profit and revenue growth.
  • Successfully negotiate difficult and/or critical business matters through interaction with executive level managers.
  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of customer specific business plans.
  • Facilitate communication among all parties to manage vital relationships and conduct quarterly business reviews.
  • Work across functions on complex and/or critical matters to influence fair outcomes and deployment of project resources.
  • Represent and provide market exposure for Flextronics at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

Job Specifications

  • BS in Business Finance, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years in services background, with at least 4 years in leadership role.
  • Strong sales leadership experience in leading teams, growing revenue, and delivering results.
  • Demonstrable ability with Marketing and Business Development.

Key Competencies

  • Proven B2B sales experience in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain management industry.
  • In depth knowledge of the assigned countries' economies.
  • In depth knowledge of products and services.
  • Demonstrated sales success and knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in developing sales plans, analyzing profitability of prospects, and understanding competitive influences and risks.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, supervising, managing, motivating and developing individuals and high performance teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and make formal presentations.
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships within all levels of organizations, including senior level executives.
