Role Overview
Own the first sales conversation with prospective small-business customers.
Learn how prospects operate, uncover their needs, and explain how Relay may support them.
Use value selling, objection handling, and discovery to create strong handoffs to Account Executives.
Work in a developing sales motion where processes, lead sources, and priorities may change.
What You Will Do
- Work inbound and outbound leads selected by fit and buying signals.
- Lead phone conversations and run discovery with small business owners.
- Handle objections, explain Relay's value, and guide qualified prospects to the next step.
- Meet activity, conversion, and meeting targets.
- Review performance, seek coaching, and apply feedback.
- Surface objections, lead-quality issues, and process gaps.
- Improve team resources, talk tracks, and workflows.
Who You Are
- Have at least six months of SDR, BDR, or similar sales experience and a consistent record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Demonstrate disciplined pursuit of difficult goals and ownership of results.
