Key skills for this role
READY TO JOIN TEAM WOOLA?
Some people maintain relationships.
Others create them.
We’re looking for the second kind.
Woola is looking for an outgoing, driven and self-motivated New Business Development professional who genuinely enjoys meeting people, opening doors and creating opportunities across Metro Vancouver.
This isn’t a role built around sitting behind a desk waiting for the phone to ring.
We want someone who wants to be out in the market.
Meeting property managers.
Walking into buildings.
Attending industry events.
Picking up the phone.
Making introductions.
Asking for the meeting.
Following up when others don’t.
Your job is to create relationships where one didn’t exist before.
Find the buildings, companies and people Woola isn’t working with today.
Introduce them to who we are and what we do.
Understand where we can help.
Create the opportunity.
Work alongside our internal team to turn that opportunity into new business.
Once that relationship is established, our operations and service teams are there to take care of it.
Then you go find the next one.
If you’re independent, competitive, naturally curious and always wondering “Who should I know here?” , we’d like to meet you.

As Woola continues to grow, we’re looking for someone who can help introduce our team to more people, more properties and more opportunities.
Your primary focus will be creating new business.
You’ll identify prospective customers, research companies and properties, find the right decision-makers and create opportunities through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals and face-to-face meetings.
This is not an account management position.
Woola has an established team responsible for supporting and servicing our existing customers.
Your focus is on the people and organizations we aren’t working with yet.
You’ll have the independence to build your own network, organize your day and pursue opportunities while having the support of Woola’s estimating, operations and leadership teams when needed.
Success in this position won’t come from waiting for leads to arrive.
It will come from curiosity, consistency, initiative and a willingness to keep opening doors.
We’re less interested in someone who checks every box and more interested in finding the right person for the role.
You’re likely someone who is:
Self-motivated.
You don’t need someone constantly telling you what to do next.
Outgoing.
You’re comfortable introducing yourself and starting conversations.
Independent.
You enjoy having ownership over your day, pipeline and results.
Persistent.
You understand that not every call gets answered and not every opportunity happens on the first attempt.
Competitive.
You enjoy setting targets, chasing opportunities and seeing results from the work you put in.
Curious.
You naturally want to understand businesses, buildings and people and where opportunities might exist.
Organized.
You follow up when you say you will and understand that opportunities can disappear without good organization.
Confident in person.
You’re comfortable walking into a meeting, attending an event or introducing yourself to someone you haven’t met before.
A strong communicator.
You can have a natural conversation, ask good questions and communicate professionally.
You should also have:
Experience within commercial property or the trades industry would be an asset, particularly:
Industry experience is valuable, but initiative, personality and the ability to create opportunities matter just as much.
We believe in giving people independence, but independence also comes with accountability.
Success will be measured through:
The goal isn’t simply to stay busy.
The goal is to create opportunities that didn’t exist before.
Competitive Compensation Salary plus performance-based incentives aligned with experience and results.
Comprehensive Benefits Health, dental and vision coverage.
Paid Time Off Paid vacation and sick days.
Independence The freedom to build your network, organize your day and pursue opportunities while having the resources and support of Woola behind you.
Opportunity to Grow Join a growing multi-trade company where the relationships and opportunities you create can have a meaningful impact.
Woola Culture Team events, social outings, company workouts and a culture built around working hard, performing at a high level and enjoying the people you work with.
READY TO JOIN TEAM WOOLA?
We’re not looking for someone to sit back and wait for opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who wants to go create them.
Someone who enjoys meeting new people, opening doors and seeing where a conversation can lead.
Someone who understands that the next great Woola customer might start with a phone call, an introduction, a coffee or simply having the confidence to walk up and say hello.
If you’re a go-getter who enjoys the chase, takes ownership of your results and wants the freedom to build something, we’d like to hear from you.
