Business Development Representative

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Create and manage material orders from start to finish and guide customers toward appropriate purchases.
• Provide quotations for availability, price, delivery timing, and promise dates while tracking and expediting orders.
• Locate and reallocate inventory to fulfill customer needs and coordinate production schedules with facilities and outside processors.
• Monitor presource inventory age and utility, manage resale or reject material, maintain inventory levels, and execute held-steel disposition.
• Set up customers and ship-to locations, price orders before entry, reconcile pricing errors, and ensure products ship when required.
• Work cross-functionally with quality, sales, applications engineering, plant contacts, technical representatives, and outside processing.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of relevant customer service or order management experience.
• Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving, planning, decision-making, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
