Lead business development, strategic pursuits and regional growth for Okane across Canada and the United States.

Strategic growth and clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
- Engage with industry events and associations and contribute to regional growth plans.
- Build long-term, trust-based client relationships and understand client business needs.
- Act as the internal voice of the client so priorities are reflected in service delivery.
Proposals and commercial agreements
- Lead responses to Expressions of Interest and develop client-specific Statements of Qualifications.
- Contribute to proposals aligned with client requirements and commercial risk tolerance.
- Lead commercial discussions and collaborate with contract management and operations teams to finalise agreements.
Partnerships and marketing
- Build relationships with government agencies, industry leaders, consultants, research institutions and academic institutions.
- Identify and formalise collaboration agreements that create long-term value.
- Localise marketing initiatives, coordinate conference presence and support community engagement with the marketing team.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development or professional services within mining, energy or environmental consulting.
- Degree or diploma in engineering, geological sciences or environmental sciences.
- Track record of leading successful proposals and negotiations that produced long-term client partnerships.
- Active participation in industry events and associations.
Role expectations
- Meet or exceed regional revenue targets and maintain a robust, well-qualified sales pipeline.
- Integrate health, safety and environmental considerations into work activities.
- Work flexibly across time zones and travel up to 30%, including overnight and occasional international travel.
