About the Role

- Oversee department budget and monitor financial performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or similar discipline; MBA preferred
- 12 years of experience in similar roles in large companies, with at least 5 years in progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
- Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (significant plus)
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Solid leadership and people management skills
- Understanding of power/energy and water sectors, emerging trends, and key players

Job Purpose
- Manage business development activities in Qatar, EMEA, Americas, and APAC regions, assessing business opportunities for power/water assets.
- Manage business activities and relationships with contractors, developers, and partners.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities at plant sites.
- Ensure weekly updates to Chief Business Development Officer on construction progress.
- Manage contractual and technical meetings with contractors and developers.
- Review EPC contractor progress reports and highlight major issues.
- Lead business trends analysis in EMEA, Americas, APAC markets.
- Build relationships with market research firms and external consultants.
- Present technical feasibility analysis for business opportunities.
- Develop and implement department strategy.
- Manage team performance and talent development.
- Oversee department budget and financial performance.
- Develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures.
- Lead change management and continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or similar; MBA preferred.
- 12 years experience in similar roles, with 5 years in managerial positions.
- Strategic thinking, problem solving, decision making skills.
- Leadership and people management skills.
- Understanding of power/energy and water sectors.
- Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (significant plus).
- Excellent relationship building, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture.

- Internal: Chief Business Development Officer, M&A Manager, Project Managers, Regional Managers.
- External: Vendors, suppliers, service providers, business partners, consultants.
