Role Overview

  • Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for sales and asset retention of all CI Global Asset Management investment products.
  • Acts as a sales consultant to the specified territory in partnership with a District Vice President.
  • Educates, trains, and motivates financial advisers to increase CI GAM market share.

What You Will Do

  • Perform pro active call and sales campaigns to promote CI GAM product offerings.
  • Generate referrals for your DVP.
  • Perform account management and customer service duties for established clients.
  • Respond to inquiries on products, fund management strategies, and industry trends.
  • Develop sales campaigns and materials and assist in delivery of sales presentations.
  • Assist in responding to due diligence questionnaires.
  • Perform territorial sales and asset reporting in collaboration with DVPs.
  • Collect client and competitor information from Internet and other sources.
  • Work closely with and support efforts of other team members.
  • Assist in administrative functions as required.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 2 years financial services industry experience in a sales capacity.
  • University degree in Business Administration.
  • Financial services designations (e.g. CSC, CFP, CIM, CFA, CAIA).
  • Knowledge of securities, mutual fund products, and investment industry.
  • Advanced expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Resourcefulness and creative problem solving skills.

Working Conditions

  • Routine office environment.
  • May require attending marketing functions and activities which extend beyond normal office hours.
