CI Financial is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive sales and asset retention of investment products in the Calgary territory. The role involves educating financial advisors, generating referrals, and supporting the District Vice President.

Responsibilities
- Perform pro active call and sales campaigns to promote CI GAM product offerings to existing and potential clients
- Generate referrals for the District Vice President
- Perform account management and customer service duties for established clients
- Respond to inquiries on products, fund management strategies, and industry trends
- Develop sales campaigns and materials and assist in delivery of sales presentations
- Assist in responding to due diligence questionnaires
- Perform territorial sales and asset reporting in collaboration with DVPs
- Collect client and competitor information from Internet and other sources
- Work closely with and support efforts of other team members
- Assist in administrative functions as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years financial services industry experience in a sales capacity
- University degree in Business Administration
- Financial services designations (e.g. CSC, CFP, CIM, CFA, CAIA)
- Knowledge of securities, mutual fund products, and investment industry
- Advanced expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Resourcefulness and creative problem solving skills

Role Overview
- Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for sales and asset retention of all CI Global Asset Management investment products.
- Acts as a sales consultant to the specified territory in partnership with a District Vice President.
- Educates, trains, and motivates financial advisers to increase CI GAM market share.
What You Will Do
- Perform pro active call and sales campaigns to promote CI GAM product offerings.
